The most awaited match of round of 16 was Barcelona vs Arsenal, the match started off with a class performance from the Barca trio Neymar, Messi and Suarez and very soon Neymar found the net in the 18th minute which almost killed the zeal of Aresene men, the second half saw some flames of hopes flickering for Arsenal as Elnency curled the ball and made a way for it into the goalpost . Few minutes later suarez scored an acrobatic goal which came off his shin and paced into the top corner, Danny Welback effort was denied by the cross bar and in the 88th minute Messi crushed Arsenal as he flicked the ball on top of Ospina‘s head. Eventually Barcelona entered the quarter finals after beating Arsenal 5-1 on aggregate.
The second match was between Bayern Munich and Juvnetus, Allianz Arena was shell shocked to see their home team concede a girl in the 5th minute ,the sledgehammering didn’t stop there Cuadrado’s added more trouble by scoring a spectacular goal. Bayern had lost all hopes until a cross came in the 72nd minute which was converted into goal by Lewandoski, finally in the 90th another header was turned into a goal by Thomas Muller which equalized Juventus side .The extra minutes play began with full confidence by Bayern side and it got paid off in the 108th minute when the substitute Thiago Alacantra found the net, two minutes later Coman finished Juventus with a stunning goal.
